Moro USA DC 10 - Cast Iron Washdown Pump with SS Impeller Kit

    Item# DCSC
    $1,301.00

The Moro USA DC 10– Cast Iron Washdown Pump with SS (Stainless Steel) Impeller Kit is a premium addition to your septic pumper or portable restroom truck. Designed to allow you to quickly clean and fill portable restrooms and sinks, this heavy-duty 12 Volt 1HP DC washdown motor is built for power and lasting performance.

This Moro USA Washdown Pump Kit includes the unparalleled DC Cast Iron Washdown Pump with SS Impeller as well as a 12V Solenoid (required for operation) and a Pressure Switch for remote pressure monitoring.

These straight centrifugal pumps are well-suited for use in heavily damp and wet conditions. Mechanical shaft seals and Viton O-rings restrict water and keep your pump sealed and running smoothly. The 12-volt DC motor has stud connections for electrical hookup. Moro washdown pumps achieve a maximum delivery rate of 20 gallons per minute (GPM) and 42 PSI, which can be adjusted using your preferred hose nozzle or spray gun. These rugged washdown duty motors also include oversized brushes to extend the life of the motor.

The DC10 12-volt washdown pump’s robust housing is built from cast iron with epoxy coating to combat corrosion and rust. All Moro DC centrifugal washdown pumps are equipped with high-efficiency stainless steel impellers designed for precision and resilience. The closed design ensures the impeller won’t deform, bend, or break even in the toughest conditions.

A carbon ceramic mechanical seal containing Viton O-rings forms a powerful barrier protecting the motor from the fluids in pump chamber. Viton is a synthetic rubber with high performance and durability. With excellent temperature handling, it keeps sealing when exposed to weather, oxidation, UV, fungus, and mold. Viton boasts chemical resistance to a range of fluids including water (up to 210 C/410 F), oils, and acids. With these winning characteristics, the carbon ceramic Viton mechanical seal offers superior endurance in the harsh extremes required of an industrial seal.

Built to make your job easier, the Moro DC-10 12-volt washdown pumps have a one-inch threaded discharge located at the top of the unit for easy access that can be rotated in 90-degree increments to suit your needs. Each pump motor comes ready to be mounted to your septic/restroom truck or other support. Approach each job with confidence knowing your washdown pump kit is created from top-of-the-line materials designed and used by experts in the field.

    Moro USA Washdown Pumps

Our customers in the septic industry primarily utilize our washdown pumps for cleaning sinks and portable restrooms, but the applications for this type of pump are extensive including marine, snow melt, liquid de-icing, and other industrial water applications. Also known simply as centrifugal pumps, these pumps utilize the physics of centrifugal force to operate.

At the heart of this process is the part of the pump known as the impeller. An impeller is a round disc-like piece with cast or attached curved vanes. A shaft connects the impeller to the motor and when rotated, the fluids around the impeller also rotate. The water particles move outward creating centrifugal force. Low pressure at the center of the impeller (the intake port) creates suction. As the fluid moves outward in this circular motion, the pressure and velocity of the fluid increases. Eventually, the fluids are funneled out through the discharge outlet at a higher PSI.

Centrifugal pumps are favored in the industry as the preferred choice for clear-fluid pumping applications. Whether for cleaning or filling a large vessel, centrifugal pumps efficiently transport large quantities of water or other fluids with ease.

1-1/2" RIV MNPT Pressure Relief Valve

    $42.92

Designed to limit the pressure occurring within your tanks, the 1-1/2” RIV MNPT Pressure Relief Valve works as a vital safeguard against the dangerous consequences of exceeding the pressure your system can handle. A type of safety valve, this 1-1/2-inch pressure relief valve is the most important safety feature for your vacuum truck – releasing extra pressure to avoid the worst-case-scenario of a tank exploding and hurting or killing someone.

Pressure relief valves are generally positioned on your vacuum pump truck’s primary or secondary tank but can be retrofitted to go between the primary tank and the secondary scrubber. An adjustable pressure relief valve is often paired with a vacuum relief valve, and both can be monitored with a dual vacuum/pressure gauge as seen in Moro’s Pressure/Vacuum Relief Tree. A vacuum relief valve functions similarly to a pressure relief valve but is more concerned with keeping the vacuum pump safe and preventing tank implosion, rather than the larger issue of keeping personnel safe.

RIV relief valves are easily adjustable for routine maintenance and on-the-job pressure modifications.* Changing the pressure is as simple as loosening the lock nut, turning the spring-tightener clockwise to compress the spring (increasing the pressure) and counter-clockwise to release the spring (decreasing pressure), then tightening the lock nut to set. Adjustable safety relief valves are also designed with tamper-proof caps. These caps come with pre-drilled holes in tiny “tongues” with a ring inserted to prevent accidental pressure changes or to deter arbitrary tinkering of safety equipment.

*Pressure will need to be adjusted in the field for your unique truck/tank specifications and application. We recommend 5 PSI maximum tank pressure.

The RIV 1-1/2” Pressure Relief Valve also features a convenient hose shank connection to divert air and overflow liquids away from the vacuum pump to an appropriate vessel. This keeps your pump cleaner, reduces maintenance for you and your staff, and extends the overall life of the pump.

Constructed with a solid brass body and zinc-plated steel springs and fasteners, RIV pressure relief valves are manufactured using anti-corrosive materials to protect your valve from moisture. RIV valves also use gaskets constructed from FPM (Viton), a high-grade, versatile synthetic rubber known for its ability to perform well in high-pressure and high-temperature situations as well as its excellent resistance to weathering, oxidation, and chemicals such as oils and fatty acids. When safety is an issue, high-quality materials can make all the difference. Breathe a sigh of relief knowing you can depend on your RIV safety relief valve to keep you and your equipment safe for years to come.

    How it Works

Under normal circumstances, your system – the pipes, fittings, tanks, pumps, and other equipment – operates at or around a certain PSI. At this point, the pressure relief valve is not engaged and remains closed. Inside the relief valve there is a large, adjustable spring that is set to a specific pressure higher than that of the fluids in the system. When the pressure in the system is greater than that of the spring, it will force a small poppet inside to lift, compressing the spring, and opening the valve. Excess pressure is discharged, and PSI is reduced. Once it has returned to the desired operating pressure, the spring’s force will again be greater than that of the process fluid and will release, pushing the poppet back down into its seat, closing the valve, and returning the system to the appropriate pressure.
